Whether you're returning from maternity leave, stepping into a promotion, starting a new role or simply trying to feel like yourself again after years of hybrid working...
Getting dressed for work feels much harder than it used to.
Not because you've forgotten how to get dressed. Because you've changed, your career has changed, the rules have changed, but your wardrobe is still stuck in a pre-pandemic haze of shift dresses and old jackets.
You used to love getting dressed, but more casual dresscodes have lefr you in the same rotation of jeans, t-shirts and (let's be real) pyjama bottoms. And you can feel the impact it's having on how you show up for your work.
And it's exactly what this session is designed to fix.
Together we'll create a wardrobe strategy that helps you:
✔ Feel prepared instead of panicked every morning.
✔ Stop buying clothes that never quite work together.
✔ Dress in a way that reflects where your career is going - not where it's been.
✔ Feel confident walking into meetings, networking events, presentations and coffee catch-ups.
✔ Build a work wardrobe that supports your personal brand.
Because whether you're presenting in a boardroom...
Leading a Teams meeting...
Meeting a client in a coffee shop...
Or working from your kitchen table...
You're still communicating something before you've spoken.
WHICH IS WHERE i come in
As one of the first female newspaper editors in UK history, an award-winning international journalist and someone who is regularly featured now in the press, I know that wardrobe isn't just clothes; it's a hugely underutilised business tool. Clients come to me when they want a promotion, are starting a new role, are returning from maternity, or are running businesses and need to look like the CEO, not the woman in pjs working from her dining table.
IF this is you:
Research consistently shows that first impressions are formed in seconds, and appearance contributes to how competence, authority and trustworthiness are initially perceived. While performance ultimately matters most, visual cues influence early judgments that can shape opportunities.
Studies on enclothed cognition have also found that what we wear doesn't just influence how others see us - it can affect how we think, feel and perform.
And despite more relaxed dress codes, expectations haven't disappeared.
One survey found that around half of professionals believe appearance still influences career progression, while many women report spending significant time worrying about what to wear for important meetings or presentations.
Dress codes may have relaxed. The expectations didn't.
I work for myself, is this just for corporate women?
No - it's for anyone who is underutilising thier wardrobe, and knows that it's impacting how they show up for work, regardless of what it is they do for a living.
How is it delivered?
Online - if you go to the booking page, you can select your date from the calendar. You'll receive plenty of prep information to help you make the most of the session. For two weeks following, we'll be together in telegram so you can get guidance as you work through the 'to-do' list we create. I'll also give you a tailored moodboard and comprehensive notes for further guidance.
What results can I expect?
I can't guarantee specific results, but I have helped hundreds of women. Some have been promoted, got pay rises, been headhunted and been featured in the media.
